East Coast Summer Vacation 2009

Two weeks ago, we started our annual summer trip up the east coast. Our first stop was in Richmond, Virginia to be a part of our dear friend Chad Champeau's wedding. It has been a much anticipated wedding since he was the last true Kelly House roommate to get married and with that there was a bit of sadness since we might not be attending any weddings anytime soon and of course they are always so much fun! But Martin and I were also excited to see lots of friends we hadn't seen in awhile. We were only in Richmond for a weekend but it felt like a week with all the events going on. Needless to say this very busy weekend was only going to set the stage for a very busy week in Connecticut and in DC. So with that being said, my next couple of postings will highlight some of our adventures. There are so many stories to tell and so many pictures that each posting will be dedicated to each adventure. So I hope you enjoy and happy reading!

To blog or to not to blog

For the past couple of weeks I have been faced with the dilemma whether to blog or to not. Every morning I get up and read my two favorite blogs Rucci's Roost and The Walkers and I get inspired. Every week they are able to capture the day to day excitements and adventures of their daily lives through their blogs and it is through their blogs that I am able to keep in close contact and update with my two dearest friends. A few months back my husband set me up with a facebook account in hopes of keeping our loved ones informed but over the last couple of weeks I have grown tired of the impersonal nature of facebook. There is no where on facebook that I am able to journal and capture the true essence and impact of the adventure that my two littlest hurricanes are experiencing. So with that said I am going to attempt this blogging thing in hopes to keep all of my dearest loved ones informed! Thanks Ashley and Kim for the inspiration!
